While putting a new floor on your house is by no means a small undertaking, the process that Loft Living use is such that the relative disruption to your day-to-day is kept to an absolute minimum.
Depending on the build requirements of the job, there will be as a minimum, a scaffold to the front and often the rear of your property. For the majority of the duration of the job, access for all materials and people will be gained via these scaffolds leaving you free to go about your daily routines with a minimum of disruption.
Invariably, within 2 weeks of us finishing on your conversion we will be at a point whereby we are fitting your new staircase. This, naturally, is an exciting time for our clients and is also the time when the scale of the works being undertaken can be fully appreciated. From this point onwards the levels of disruption to your home are increased as we fit your new staircase and begin plastering but don’t worry- within a couple of weeks we will be finished, leaving you with a fantastic new space that is plastered and ready to decorate!

Each and every conversion we do is unique. There is no ‘One size fits all’. Working to all current UK Building Standards we do have minimum requirements that we must meet in order to fulfil our promise to provide Customers with a new space that justifies the investment being made.
The main priority when initially looking at the dimensions of your existing loft is to establish whether there is enough height. As a general rule of thumb we say that you need a minimum of 2.3 metres between the top of your existing ceiling joists and your ridge beam.
